Top Choices: Reposado

What is Reposado Tequila?

Reposado tequila is a blanco that is aged in oak barrels for a period of two months to one year. This aging process gives reposado Tequila a smoother taste and a light golden hue. The oak barrels also impart flavors of vanilla and caramel to the Tequila, making it a favorite for sipping neat or in premium cocktails.

From the moment the cork is popped, a tantalizing aroma fills the air, hinting at the delights to come. The first sip is a revelation, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and a touch of spice dancing on the palate. The smooth, velvety texture caresses the tongue, leaving a lingering finish that is both satisfying and memorable. Tequila Ocho Blanco and this Reposado are two that I keep coming back to. Easy to drink, easy to find, well priced, and what a tequila should taste like. This is one of my top recommendations to friends wanting to get into Tequila.

Don Fulano

Tequila Ocho is one of my favorite Blanco Tequilas. The entire Tequila Ocho family is solid, and I recommend this as a great starting point and a daily sipper. This is the true essence of what a Blanco tequila should taste like. This is undoubtedly a tequila that I would gauge against other blancos. Very reasonably priced! This is listed at the top of my page because when asked by friends, 'where do I start?'... this is it.
